The 2020 running of the Rolex Daytona 24 made up for last year’s early ending. Unprecedented stretches of green flag racing allowed the leaders to set a new distance record covering 2,965 miles. The full course yellow waved only six times in 24 hours, creating a breakneck pace that remarkably produced only five retirements.

Wayne Taylor Racing captured overall victory for the second year in a row in the DPi class, while South Florida based DragonSpeed USA took honors in LMP2. BMW’s M8 filled the top step in the GTLM class, and Paul Miller Racing took victory in the ultra-competitive GTD class giving Lamborghini its third win in a row.

The Concours Club’s founding member Helio Castroneves was piloting Penske’s Acura ARX-05 at the front end of the field when he was taken out by a Mazda prototype who was penalized for his indiscretions. Despite requiring 40 minutes of repairs the Acura fought back to an 8th place finish.

In late January, The Concours Club team was in attendance at the 29th Palm Beach Cavallino Classic. The annual Ferrari enthusiasts' event is widely regarded as the most important gathering of Ferraris in the U.S. Hosted by iconic Ferrari journal, Cavallino Magazine, the event celebrates the beauty and art of the Ferrari brand, from its inception to the present day. The event is known for attracting some of the rarest and most prized Ferraris in existence, including the pictured 1963 250 GTO, the most valued Ferrari of all time. Some of our Members participated in the event. We are looking forward to seeing these prized automobiles at The Concours Club!

Congratulations to Tom and Tommy Cabrerizio for being awarded "La Coppa per Otto Cilindri", the award for the finest 8-cylinder Ferrari. The 430 GTC was developed by the Ferrari Corse Clienti department in an attempt to dominate the racing scene. Leo and Lisa Schigiel's stunning 1972 Dino 246 GT 03326m was awarded "La Coppa per Sei Cilindri", the award for the finest 6-cylinder Ferrari. Ferrari produced and sold under the Dino marque between 1967 and 1974 with both the 206 GT and 246 GT models. The Dino 246 GT was capable of top speeds of more than 140 mph, outperforming other sports cars of the same time period.

Jim Amine’s beautiful F50 was featured as part of the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic's "25 Years of the F50" celebration. The Ferrari F50 is a mid-engine range-topping sports car manufactured between 1995–1997. Powered by a 4.7 L naturally-aspirated Tipo F130B 60-valve V12 engine that was developed from 1990 Ferrari 641 Formula One car.
